Your vascular system powers your life. But sometimes blood doesn't travel through the body the way it should.
Whether you're experiencing varicose veins, circulation problems due to a chronic illness like diabetes or a medical emergency like a stroke, our vascular team can help.
Our vascular specialists
The vascular surgeons at Truman Medical Centers/University Health are board-certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery. They're fellows of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). And they serve as professors at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine.
Other members of the team include nurses who specialize in vascular care, vascular technologists, physical therapists and general surgeons.
Our vascular specialists work closely with experts from other areas too. We collaborate with podiatrists, radiologists, endocrinologists and wound-care specialists to ensure you get complete care.
Because we are a teaching hospital, our surgeons share their expertise with residents and medical students. We are always growing, learning and expanding our knowledge. This means we stay on top of the latest therapies too.
