Dental care

The Truman Medical Center Lakewood Dental Clinic is experiencing high call volume and extended phone wait times. We apologize and are working as quickly as possible.

Getting regular dental care is one of the best things you can do to maintain a healthy smile you can feel great about for years to come. At Truman Medical Center (TMC) Lakewood Dental Clinic, we provide that care.

Our dental clinic has a dedicated entrance at TMC Lakewood.

Insurance or Medicaid coverage questions?

We accept private dental insurance, Medicare and Missouri Medicaid.

In particular, many people want to know what types of dental services are covered by the Missouri Medicaid program. We will be happy to discuss your specific coverage at your appointment.

As an example, here are some services that Medicaid typically covers:

  • Tooth extraction.
  • X-rays.

Care that Medicaid typically does not cover includes:

  • Crowns and bridges.
  • Dentures, including removable partial dentures.
  • Dental implants.

Elks Mobile Dental Program

This project of the Missouri Elks helps children and adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities get the dental care they need. People in extreme financial distress also may be eligible for this program, if referred by a local Elks lodge. Learn more about Elks Mobile Dental Program patient eligibility.
