Homeless outreach services

At Truman Medical Center (TMC) Behavioral Health, our compassionate care extends outside of our walls and into the community. Through our Homeless Outreach program, we help unhoused individuals who are experiencing mental health symptoms access quality housing and healthcare, including mental health services and substance use disorder counseling.

By eliminating barriers to care, our Homeless Outreach team can help healthcare problems be detected and treated, decrease emergency department use for primary care, and provide overall health awareness and education. We also provide assistance with enrolling in benefits, including medical insurance, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Social Security income.

If you or a loved one is experiencing homelessness coupled with substance use, mental health or other serious health conditions, or trauma, we can help.
