Postgraduate Pharmacy Residency
at Hospital Hill
Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill provides an array of acute
care and outpatient services. TMC Hospital Hill has the busiest
adult emergency room in the Kansas City metropolitan area with more
than 60,000 visits a year. In addition to Emergency Medicine and
Trauma, TMC Hospital Hill is also noted for Asthma, Diabetes,
Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Weight Management and Women's Health.
Postgraduate Pharmacy Residency Program Goals
Pharmacists completing this residency will be competent and
confident pharmacy practitioners of direct patient care in various
environments. They will be able to provide drug information to any
health care team, possess independent leadership skills, teaching
skills and communicate well in personal and group settings. They
will demonstrate professional and personal maturity by following a
philosophy of professional practice, monitoring their own
performance, exhibiting a commitment to the profession, and
exercising leadership in improving the safety of the medication use
system.
