Lakewood Care Center
offers a unique advantage to residents. As the only long term care
center in the Kansas City area based in an inpatient setting.
Lakewood
Care Center provides residents access to acute and specialty care
services on site. A Board Certified Geriatric Specialist serves as
the full-time
Medical Director, overseeing all patient care services.
This 188-bed fully accredited long-term care center provides each
resident with a fully furnished room and bath. A dedicated
20-bed Alzheimer's/Dementia Unit for female residents is located
within the care center as well. Residents experience 24 hour nursing
care.

for Life - a pet therapy program which allows residents an
opportunity to enjoy time with qualified pets on a regularly
scheduled basis.
