Truman Center for Neurology and Cognitive
Welcome to the Truman Center for Neurology and Cognitive
Neuroscience. The doctors, nurses, technicians, social
workers, and administrative staff at the Truman Center for
Neurology and Cognitive Neuroscience are dedicated to providing
the very best neurological care.
Our first priority is to provide state-of-the-art
neurological care to our patients, whether we are treating
individuals with highly complex conditions or less complicated
problems. Our clinical care encompasses all neurological
problems that affect the brain—strokes, seizures, tumors,
multiple sclerosis, cognitive and movement disorders,
Parkinson’s disease, or Alzheimer’s disease—and those that
affect the spine or the nerves of the arms and legs, such as
neuropathy, which can cause numb feet, and myopathy, which can
cause weakness or difficulty walking.
Our clinicians are also teachers and scholars. We are dedicated
to conducting world-class research and to educating the next
generation of physicians and allied health professionals.
We are also committed to providing education within the
community and to caregivers.
The Truman Neurology and Cognitive Neuroscience Center was
designed so that all of your appointment and testing needs
happen in one place. Whether scheduled for a clinic appointment
with one of our neurologists, a non-invasive test, or
in-patient care, you will be cared for by our Neurology team.
Our Center is committed to providing comprehensive, innovative,
and evidence-based care to all of our patients.
Our clinical faculty work very closely with our colleagues
in Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuro-ophthalmology,
Behavioral Health, and Rehabilitation Services. Our academic
enterprise encompasses our neurology and neuroscience
colleagues at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Children’s Mercy Hospital,
and Research Medical Center.
We look forward to serving your clinical needs –
Anne L. Foundas, M.D.
