highlighting new services, staff or exciting new additions to the Truman
Medical Center System.

This issue highlights the Washington, D.C. ceremony inducting TMC
President/CEO John W. Bluford as the Chairman of the American Hospital
Association. Also included in this issue is an article about the
documentary "From Separate to Equal: The Creation of Truman Medical
Centers," highlighting the history of segregated medicine in Kansas City
and the pioneering physicians, nurses and city leaders that helped pave
the way to full integration with the opening of Truman Medical Centers.

Winter 2011
This issue highlights the partnership between
TMC and the Kansas City Chiefs. TMC has teamed up with the Kansas City
Chiefs as Partners for a Healthy Community and will focus on educating
the public about healthy lifestyles with an emphasis on healthy eating,
exercise and preventative care. The issue also includes articles on Dr.
Michael O'Dell's plan to establish what is known as a medical home model
at TMC Lakewood.
