Oncology Program Expansion and Facility Renovation
Patient demand continues to grow for TMC’s quality cancer care, but our
existing Oncology Center is outdated and crowded. Oncology services
will soon be relocated to new space, almost three times the size of the
current Center. The new Center will offer a better experience for more
patients, including giving our patients access to the latest advancements in
cancer treatment. The $5M Oncology campaign goal includes ongoing funding of
Patient Navigator as well as a $500,000 operating endowment.
Chronic Disease Management
An increasing number of TMC’s patients have chronic conditions. Our
innovative Guided Chronic Care™ and Passport to Wellness™ programs were
created to address both medical and social factors that interfere with
patient care and that lead to lower quality and higher cost. The programs
specifically target low-income, ethnically diverse patients.
Interdisciplinary teams works to address patients’ non-medical concerns,
such as family and social support issues. The teams mobilize community
resources and advocate for patients at TMC and across other systems and
agencies.
Healing Arts
Art has long been known to aid in the healing process. This unique TMC
program presents a healing and soothing environment for patients, visitors,
and employees through various art activities. These include the First Friday
Concert Series, the Healing Arts Gallery, and high-quality art on display
throughout each hospital. The Center for the Healing Arts addresses the
emotional needs of patients and families, as well as our caregivers.
