Behavioral Health
TMC Behavioral Health provides comprehensive mental health and substance
abuse services to the people of Kansas City and Jackson County. In addition
to community support; vocational services; and homeless programs, we also
provide in-patient treatment and a mental health emergency department.
Community support of TMC Behavioral Health programs is realized through the
annual Benefit at the Bristol. Additional support is needed to ensure our
continued ability to meet the needs of the more than 16,000 patients we
serve each year.
Women’s Services
TMC helps and encourages all women to actively promote good health within
their families. Our comprehensive women’s health programs combine education,
clinical care and research to meet the needs of Kansas City women of all
ages and stages of life. Philanthropic support ensures innovative,
comprehensive, multidisciplinary, and integrated health systems for women.
TMC was recognized, along with UMKC School of Medicine, as a National Center
of Excellence in Women’s Health by the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services.

The TMC campus at Lakewood serves the eastern Jackson County area with a
wide-ranging level of services, including the new Family Birthplace, a 212
bed long-term care facility and the Family Medicine Pavilion, which provides
primary care to patients of all ages. Philanthropic support is needed to
assist TMC Lakewood in providing care to over 36,000 patients a year,
especially those patients without the financial means to pay for their
care.
