Gerard J. Grimaldi
Vice President, Health Policy
& Government Relations
Gerard J. Grimaldi is Vice President, Health Policy & Government Relations at Truman Medical Centers, where he has worked since 2001. In this capacity, Mr. Grimaldi is responsible for health care policy; government relations activities and strategies at the federal, state, and local level; managed care; and the Hospital Hill Medical Pavilion.
In 2005, Grimaldi was the architect of voter approval of Kansas City, Missouri Question 1, an increase in the city's health levy for indigent care.
Previously, Grimaldi was Kaiser Permanente's Vice President, Strategy and Human Resources. His extensive government experience includes leadership positions on U.S. House and U.S. Senate staffs, where he played a key role in numerous Western Missouri economic development and social service projects.
Mr. Grimaldi is past chair of the Government Relations Committee of the National Association of Public Hospitals. He is President of the Kansas City Care Network, an organization of health care safety net providers. A Kansas City native, Mr. Grimaldi graduated with honors from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Journalism.
