    Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, TMC Hospital Hill is just steps away from Crown Center and the River Market area.     TMC Hospital Hill is the busiest Level One Trauma Center in the city.   • Birthplace

    Your comfort, your care and the care of your baby is our utmost concern when you deliver your baby. Twenty home-like suites are designed for mothers-to-be and their new additions to provide a feeling of comfort.  The Birthplace has specially designed birthing beds and reclining chairs that change into a bed to accommodate a guest.  A private bathroom is also available with each suite. 

    You and your baby can stay together as much as you like, and guests are welcome.  Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you'd like to take a tour of The Birthplace or need more information, please call 816-404-0350.

  • Chiropractic Services

    KC CORE is a specialized clinic designed to treat each patient based on their unique needs. They offer personalized, one-on-one therapy during each and every visit. With their hands-on, manual therapy approach they implement treatment plans based on research and results. We specialize in the treatment of acute pain, chronic pain, auto accidents, personal injuries, and sports injuries.

  • Diabetes & Endocrinology

    The Diabetes Center offers a state-of-the-art facility to better serve the needs of our patients.  We believe in helping our patients manage their diabetes on a planned, rather than episodic basis. The comprehensive team-approach connects patients with specially trained physicians and nursing staff. The team coordinates care with other specialty service provides, such as ophthalmology, cardiology, podiatry, and other referrals as needed.

  • Emergency Care

    The Level One Trauma Center at Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill consists of a team of medical professionals specially trained in treating trauma and critical care injuries. Trauma surgeons and other members of the trauma team are in the hospital 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

    Physicians in specialties ranging from neurosurgery to OB/GYN are on standby, and nursing teams are ready in the operating room and critical care unit as well.   • Gastroenterology (GI)

    Gastroenterologists at Truman Medical Centers specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon. The newly renovated GI Services Center at Hospital Hill has staff of 22, including 15 highly trained registered nurses.  It features three procedure rooms, 12 prep and recovery rooms and six exam rooms.

  • Radiology

    Truman Medical Centers became one of the first hospitals in the United States to install the Siemens SOMATOM Definition AS 128 slice CT scanner. The scanner has been developed with all the latest technological advances in the world of Computed Tomography.  Some of these advances include the Adaptive Dose Shielding technology which eliminates unnecessary radiation exposure to the patient through the pre- and post-scan range.  This means that the only radiation dose the patient is exposed to will be for clinically relevant imaging.

  • Trauma Services

    WIC, which stands for Women, Infants and Children, is a federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. TMC WIC helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children learn about nutrition, eating well and staying healthy.  TMC WIC provides eligible families with:
