Time Commitment

Residents will not be required to commit more than an average of 65 hours per week in didactic and/or clinical areas. This figure represents time for clinical treatment, classes, seminars and preparation for class, seminar and clinical experience.

Call Experience

Residents are assigned to emergency dental call for Truman Medical Center Lakewood on a rotating basis. This includes carrying a beeper and responding to the hospital emergency room to provide services if necessary to dental patients presenting for care.

Stipend

Dental residents are paid a stipend for the year of $36,500.

Benefits

Residents are employees of the hospital and are eligible for full benefits from the hospital, including health insurance, dental insurance, sick leave, paid vacation, floating holidays, and life insurance.

Housing

Housing is the responsibility of the resident. Information regarding available housing in the area may be obtained by contacting the program office.
