Tuition

Due to declining reimbursement for anesthesia services and a lack of Federal support for nurse anesthesia education, TMC School of Nurse Anesthesia will have to begin charging tuition. This tuition will be in addition to the fees you pay to UMKC.

UMKC textbooks and anesthesia textbooks are additional expenses, as are other miscellaneous fees and expenses.

Currently, the Chancellor's Scholarship award is available to our students, which provides in-state tuition rates to out-of-state students.

Benefits

Personal Leave
A total of 20 days per year may be used for sick leave or vacation during the 24-month clinical portion of the program. These days may not be carried over into the next year. During the University portion of the program, the student must follow the sick leave and vacation policies of the University.

Leave of Absence
Leave of absence is granted only under exceptional circumstances.

Holidays
Seven holidays are observed by the School: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Students scheduled to work on a holiday will receive a day off in lieu of the holiday.

Health Insurance
Truman Medical Center provides three different health plans and students may choose to purchase coverage for themselves, spouse or family members.

Malpractice Insurance
Professional liability insurance coverage is provided by Truman Medical Center for all students during the program.
