Applicants
who meet the admission requirements should:
- Complete and
return the
application form
and
three
SIGNED recommendation request forms*
with the $50.00 application processing fee** by
check or money order made payable to:

- Have OFFICIAL
transcripts forwarded from all
colleges, universities, and nursing schools
attended. OFFICIAL transcripts must be sent
directly to the School of Nurse Anesthesia.
- Have the GRE
test result sent to UMKC. (The Institution code
for UMKC is 6872 and the Department code for the
School of Biological Sciences is 0203.) A copy
should be mailed to Truman Medical Center School
of Nurse Anesthesia, to the address above. You
must also mail a copy of your results directly
to the School of Biological Sciences (Room 212
BSB, attention D. Stringer, 5007 Rockhill Road,
Kansas City, MO 64110-2499), as we are not on
the automatic notification system.
- Send a copy of
current nursing license.
- Complete and
return background authorization forms...
- All
applications must be submitted by mail. Do not
submit electronically as we must have original
signatures to complete application requests.
We request that you have
all admission materials into our office before
October 1st. All
requirements must be met prior to application.
Interviews, when granted, will be held in November
and December with acceptance notices being mailed in
January. Classes will begin in June of each year.
UMKC enrollment generally begins Mid-May, and TMC
Orientation begins around the last two weeks in May.
*Recommendation
request forms will be sent directly from the school
to present and past employers and the Director of
the School of Nurse Anesthesia. Any request form
sent by applicant directly to reference will be
discarded and new forms will have to be signed.
** The fee is
not refundable nor applicable toward tuition.
